That's what Timothy Driedger's parents said about their young homeschooled son.
Tim took every possible opportunity to avoid reading and writing.
However he eventually grew to love books. He learned to enjoy the stories they contained and the lessons they taught.
Tim began to enjoy crafting stories of his own. He has written several short stories and is currently working on a book about the true story of his great grandfather's experience in World War 2. While researching for this book, he came across a German book of missionary stories from the time of Hitler's rise to power. He translated that book into English and has made it available as a book entitled We Remain Missionaries!
Tim is thankful to Melodie Vervloet, an accomplished writer, for teaching him in a creative writing class in central Alberta, Canada, and for her tips on authorship.
Tim was saved at a young age and his faith in Christ is an important part of his life and writing. He and his family recently followed God's leading to move to Parker, Colorado. Tim's dad now pastors a church in Denver.
Among other things, Tim enjoys photography and playing piano. He often plays piano at his church.
My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
Timothy is excited to receive training from the 21 time New York Times Bestselling author, Jerry Jenkins. Jerry has written over 200 books and sold over 73 million copies. With 50 years of experience behind him, Jerry is an authority on the subject of writing. I appreciate the time he takes to train me and other aspiring authors! I would highly recommend The Jerry Jenkins Writers Guild for anyone interested in becoming an author!
